Overview
The NKU Perfusion Program is a 22-month, 70-credit program, with 2 semesters of didactic face-to-face instruction and 3 semesters of clinical rotations. Students conduct at least 15 high-fidelity simulation procedures prior to clinical. On average, students complete 100 clinical procedures at clinical affiliates across the U.S prior to graduating. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the 2-part national certification examinations through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) is awarded to graduates who have successfully completed the ABCP examinations.

Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Submission of all official transcripts from university(s) or college(s) in progress or attended
Proof of shadowing a perfusionist experience

Accreditation
Northern Kentucky University cardiovascular perfusion program is accredited by the Committee of Accreditation of Allied Health and Education Programs (CAAHEP) through the Accreditation Committee-Perfusion Education (AC-PE).
